If you go visit China, you can see at 5:00 in the morning, thousands of
Chinese Elderly doing Tai Chi, Qi Gong and even Tai Chi Sword before
they drink their tea, eat something, and/or go to work. For many years
Tai Chi and Qi Gong in China have been part of the culture of the
elderly that practice everyday for Longevity and Health.
Tai Chi and Qi Gong are composed of soft, continuous and fluid movements
that are suitable for the elderly.
Each Qi Gong is very simple to learn so it is possible to start Qi Gong
practice also in old age.
There are also static and sitting Qi Gong that can be practiced by those
with muscle, joint, and/or other problems.
Trials and scientific research have demonstrated that Tai Chi helps to
prevent falls and femur breaks by improving static and dynamic balance,
and is good for arthritis and osteoporosis.
Lessons are also opportunities for socialization with other studends.
