Mikao Usui
Reiki means Universal Energy.
It’s also the name given to a very ancient healing
method that seems to have originated in Tibet and had
been rediscovered at the end of last century by MIKAO
USUI. (Japan).
Reiki is a natural method that founds its power and
efficacy on Love and Cosmic Energy (Greek Kosmos: Order)
The Reiki’s energy is transmitted by a delicate hands
imposition on others or themselves. The Reiki healer is
a connection to Universal Energy and a channel of
balanced and rebalancing energy.
Anyone can practice Reiki once they are harmonized and
initiated, only they must be authentically open hearted
and open minded. The Reiki Master is one whom through
which we can get the resounding of vital Universal
Energy.
Sacred symbols and sounds, and so many techniques of
working with energy are the operative instruments of
this wide system.
But at the base of Reiki there’s always the HEART.
REIKI: HOW,

the same time, has Reiki flowing through them.
HOW REIKI THERAPY WORKS
A Reiki practitioner holds his or her hands in one of 12 positions designed to bring energy into the recipient's body. There is no massaging, kneading or any other intense motion. These positions are grouped into three portions of the body: On or near the head, on the front torso, and on the back torso. While there are standard positions, practitioners will often adapt or add new ones depending on a patient's needs.
The recipient generally feels a warm flow or tingling sensation in his or her body, but the feeling varies with each person: sometimes people feel sleepy and relaxed, while others may nap through a session and wake up energized.

REIKI LEVELS
FIRST LEVEL
Through a one day seminary, the student learns the basic
positions and the different possibilities of self and to
others (people, animals, things) treatment with no
dogmatic or fixed schemes, but according to the feeling
of his own intuition and fluid creativity; what follows
is a theory explanation to help the student:
Understand by rational mind what’s happening at the
energetic level.
After the student undergoes the 4 harmonization or
initiation that allows anybody to become an active Reiki
channel and to transmit trough the hands the balanced
energy. The harmonization is a simple ceremony between
the students and the Reiki Master, whom, using cosmic
symbols, visualization techniques and his own intention
“turns on” the Reiki channels.
There is no mystery and nothing magic in all this, magic
has nothing to do with Reiki. In this case, initiation
is simply the beginning of something, and it’s a
wonderful “something”! Everything happens in a calm
environment, in a serene atmosphere, comfortably sitting
down, relaxed and at peace with themselves. This is the
basic and only traditional technique of the Mikao
Usui Reiki method.
Those who practice energy healing treatment without
being initiated and trained by a master only use their
own energy, not Reiki.
The Reiki channels, (invisible but real energy passages)
through the harmonization process, become active and in
connection with the energy centers (called chakra).
These channels permit the Unity of body-mind-spirit a
constant supply of cosmic energy and a consciousness of
the “energetic body”.
From that moment and forever the Vital Universal Energy
flows into the Reiki body naturally and with no
limitations and gives consolation, healing and
protection to themselves and others helping to discover
and feel a world full of beauty, harmony and open to
love.
The energy the Reiki person gives, or better, is a
humble transmitter called intelligent because it flows
naturally according to the needs and it works exactly
where the need is.
SECOND LEVEL
After knowing, experimenting, and deepening for a while
the first degree Reiki, those who feel like it, can get
closer and in an intensively and more complete manner to
the Cosmic Energy with the initiation to second degree
Reiki.
Everyone has to feel when they are ready for this step
and go with serenity into more changes in thier life
before facing a new energetic “push” of purification and
growth so powerful such that of Second Level. The human
body needs time to get used to new experiences.
With Second Level there is the Initiation with 3 cosmic
symbols that are able to make Reiki use space and time
independent: we learn different techniques for using
such symbols and the way to make distance treatment.
With second level the energetic flow grows sensitively.
While the first level is defined “the manual level”, the
second level is called “the mental level”
In addition, in fact, it is the creative level. It
allows to project trough the cosmic symbols the
self-willing power, the self-determination, the
self-love intention. Who is in the disposition and to
receive with humility and serenity the transformation,
time passing by, will happen a wide-open mind and so of
the psychological perception. All this transcends the
narrow psychological borderlines to enter the territory
of intuition and acute sensibility. Moreover grows also
the sensibility according to others energy, and so that
of environment and places, consequently grows the
therapeutic capacity.
During a one day seminary, the students learns mainly
the applications and techniques according to the
equilibrate and responsible use of the Second Level
instruments such as the cosmic symbols, the positive
verbalization and the creative verbalization.
The possibilities offered from 2nd Level Reiki have no
limits except from a poor imagination capacity. The
silent knowledge of the second level can awake a feeling
of deeper connection between the cosmic infinite and us
where EVERYTHING IS ONE AND THE ONE IS EVERY THING,
while appearance and separation will be lived only like
illusions of the ordinary perception.
THIRD LEVEL
Some Reiki people, after experimenting for a long time
the potential of second level, they simply wish to
complete their energetic formation, from personal
growth, for a deeper meditation neeed, in the heart of
Reiki Dai-Ko-Myo.
The third level consists on the closing of the Reiki
circle, considering the passages from the manual phase
(First Level), to the creative phase (Second Level)
until the emotional-spiritual phase or essense of Reiki,
the brighten light Dai-Ko-Myo.
The first level works with the intentional attitude of
not doing since the Reikist trusts the energy that
"knows" exactly where to go.
The second level works with a different attitude that
implicates the presence of a direction, of an
intentional employment of the will and of the
self-responsibility: "to do".
Like a supreme synthesis of thesis and antithesis that,
howerver, are not in opposition, the third level opens
the door to a superior dimension of more concious "not
doing", "to let go", a dynamic balance between
relaxation and concentration, a "fusion" with the
engergy same. Those who catch the Reiki spirit lives
this "not doing" creating emptiness inside, becoming
free from worries, needs, wishes and goals, letting the
energy fully flow, to be one with it.
Those who realize the third level, do not become lazy
letting things happen, but watch for not letting their
doings darken the voice of feeling, of heart, of spirt.
The interior direction that guides them on the heart
road that does not judge, but faces them in "here-now"
and clears thier mind making them see things for what
they are, without presumption, faulty feeling, or
worries.
Through the pathway Dai-Ko-Myo makes them grow
and matures the confidence and the intimate certainty
that until there will be interior balance, only right
things will happen.
The Third Level harmonization transmits a new powerful
impulse of growth that involves the emotional and
spiritual sphere, but also perception becomes more
sensible and acute. For example, you can feel the
enviornmental harmony better, or how other people are
feeling, to catch some parts of reality you could not
see before. Naturally, all this needs a very good
balance and self-responsibility, stimulating such
requisite, because our presumption and our personal
"EGO" and selfishness represent a constant danger of
contamination for the heart voice.
The third level invites to a continuous voyage of
exploration and meditation into the self-spiritual
dimension.
