SOUTHERN SHAOLIN &
ANIMAL FORMS
"At North the legs, at South the hands."
While Northern Shaolin is based on wide movements and kicks,
Southern Shaolin is composed by more static positions and
powerful arm's techniques.
Shen Chien school is based principally on Northern Shaolin Quan
and Tai Chi Chuan Yang style, but you can also learn techniques
of Southern Shaolin. The purpose is to learn not only the classical
combat of the Northern Shaolin in wh you keep the opponent at
distance, but also the combat of the Southern Shaolin, better in
situations of short distance between you and your oponent.
We believe that a combat system would be not be complete with
just one kind or the other.
Moreover you'll become effective with your legs, but also with your
arms....

Tiger

are overpowering and strong. Tiger training builds tendons
and bones,
and strengthens the spine and neck.

Leopard
Represents External Strength and Development of Rapidity.
The Leopard's attacks have loose whipping power. Leopard builds the
skin, tendon, muscle and bone. Its attacks are more powerful and
penetrating.

Snake

a
higher level.
The Snake's movements are soft and coiling.
Snake builds the internal energy and chi, and its attacks are relaxed,
releasing chi upon impact.
Sibilant and compressive respiration with fast movements of the hand.

Crane
Represents both Internal and External Strength.
The Crane's attacks are circular
and end with quick exploding power. The Crane improves
