TESIMONIALS
From our adults and seniors:
William Claude H.
I have been a student at Shen Chien school for several months, and have high praise both for the martial arts skills
and their ability to teach it. I have had past training in Tai chi, Karate, Judo and wrestingand joined the Shen Chien School after observing classes and being impressed with the quality and thoroughness of teaching.
I should also mention that I have been impressed with the character and professionalism of both of the teachers.
They are honest and dedicated, and have a solid background not only in martial arts, but in health and other physical sports."
Norm C.
"Intricate, flowing motion; concentration and a required commitment. Results: enjoyment from accomplishment with
the aid and encouragement of good and interested instructors."
Cynthia R.
"I believe that this school has tremendous potential and has a great importance to people anywhere. To clarify, I’m not the kind of person that use a gym, a treadmill, or even go on routine walks; so when I found out about the classes and started to attend, I knew that this was a great way to get fit, but also have the benefits of learning
a martial art. All students and instructors have respect for each person: doesn’t matter if you are experienced or new
to martial arts. I believe this school is more than just a school; it is a place of learning, caring and understanding towards each other.
George C.
"The course of Tai chi and Qi gong is helping me get my balance back, get more flexible and is giving me more energy. The instructors are very nice and professional."
David A.
"I have trained and taught in several styles of martial arts since 1974. It has been a pleasure as well a great learning experience training at Shen Chien School. The training sessions are dynamic, well planed and executed enthusiastically. This was my first experience in Chinese Martial arts and being myself a martial artist I can affirm that Kung fu is the only complete kind of martial art. The Master is not only a martial arts instructor but is also graduated in Exercises and sport’s science; this make me feel more safe and confortable about my health."
Linda C.
"I came to try Tai chi….to center myself...to calm down. The strength in my body is getting so good! I’m growing stronger and stronger inside. I can come as I’m...I enjoy it!!! I want to continue the rest of my life. "
Father of Dane H.
"My son has special needs, so my wife and I first took him
to a physical therapist. He went once a week and I observed each session. when his therapist was no longer
available we decided to take him to Shen Chien Kung Fu & Tai Chi School for a two class trial. I was surprised
to see that in addition to the kung fu moves being taught, the instructors also used some of the same games that
the physical therapist used to improve my son's coordination.
I was impressed by their professionalism and how well the class was organized. Another benefit that I like is that
my son is getting more social interaction with his peers.
Rather than just a one-on-one with a therapist."
Desiree F. mother of Gryphon and Phoenix and wife of Paul
"Our sons, Gryphon and Phoenix, thoroughly enjoy the classes they are taking. They've improved their physical co-ordination and increased their eagerness to learn more both in Martial Arts and in their regular schooling. My husband, Paul, is happy with finding a workout routine that not only increases his flexibility but is also a fun way of getting back into shape. This school is a wonderful addition to our community."
FROM OUR KIDS:
Mc Kenzie, 8 years old
"I really like Shen Chien School because I really enjoy the hard work and the fun games. Kung fu is fun and it is a good exercise for me. Sifu makes us try very hard to learn forms and positions. I really like to see Adam, Dane, Katie, Faith, Dominick and Cerrina and working with them. I like that we need to work hard and then get to play if we did a good job. Kung fu is awesome!
Dane, 9 years old
I like Kung fu because it is totally awesome.
I want to be the Dragon Warrior.
I will do lots of training. I will get my second belt.
I will keep practicing Kung fu and I will stop the Ninja.
Faith, 10 years old
I like Kung fu because it teaches to you strength, flexibility and respect to your teachers.
I also like my schools because we do tons of forms, and the game we do at the end.
One improvement I have made was muscles. I used to be really squishy...
Our teacher is very helpful and she is very nice. She focuses on all of us. She can correct tons of our mistakes.
Our outfits are really comfortable, cause they are made of silk and so are the belts.
I love Kung fu just because it is really fun and it teaches you so much.
So that's why I love Kung fu!
Cerrina, 10 years old
I like Kung fu because it is helpful; it fills in my empty schedule and it teaches to me balance.
I have almost no balance because I'm hyper. I'm learning balance doing the forms, but sometimes I fall over.
It also teaches to me to concentrate; I have hard time concentrating because I'm hyper.
For example I have such a bad time of paying attention that I would run into walls that have been there for five years!!!
I have to pay attention when we are doing forms and falls.
When you are doing the forms you have to stay two mats away from the person that is doing the fall.
